KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks linked to unauthorised get-rich-quick scheme Water Beaute World Bhd came under the spotlight yesterday after a news report on the matter. Two of them, Plastrade Technology Bhd and XOX Bhd, came down in contrast to the market’s overall uptrend.
The Edge Malaysia weekly, in its latest edition, quoted a source as saying that funds from get-rich-quick and fake online investment schemes — such as Water Beaute, JJ Poor to Rich, AAM Global Corp Sdn Bhd and MBI International Sdn Bhd — could have seeped into companies trading in the local bourse.
